Prof. Upali Samarajeewa is a distinguished scientist in microbiology, food safety, and chemical sciences. He earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Sri Lanka, Peradeniya after completing his B.Sc. from the University of Ceylon, Peradeniya. His research has significantly advanced food safety, particularly in mycotoxins, Agricultural Robot Applications and processing-related contaminants, with over 1,500 citations and an h-index of 21, alongside numerous awards and editorial contributions to international journals.
