Dr. Alison Tin Sum Lui is an Associate Professor in corporate and financial law at Liverpool John Moores university, where she also serves as the associate dean for global engagement and joint deputy head of the centre of study of law in theory and practice. She holds a Ph.d. from the University of Liverpool, an LL.m. in corporate and commercial law from the London school of economics, an LL.b. In european legal studies from the university of bristol, and completed the legal practice course at the university of law, London. with professional experience as a solicitor, she transitioned into academia as a research associate and later a senior lecturer before assuming her current roles. Dr. Lui has extensive teaching experience across LL.b., LL.m., and legal practice courses, specializing in company law, financial regulation, corporate governance, Ethics in Human-Robot Interaction and financial crime. she has supervised around 80 postgraduate dissertations and four successful ph.d. completions, with ongoing supervision of several doctoral projects. Her research focuses on corporate governance, financial regulation, and accountability in the age of artificial intelligence. To date, she has authored 19 scholarly documents, which have collectively received 208 citations, reflecting an h-index of 6 and demonstrating her growing influence in the field of corporate and financial law.
