Dr. Djamel Boussaa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at the College of Engineering, Qatar University. He holds a PhD in Architecture from the University of Liverpool, an MPhil from the University of York, and a BSc in Architecture from EPAU, Algiers. With extensive academic and professional experience across the Middle East, Europe, and North Africa, he has served in teaching, research, and leadership roles at Qatar University, UAE University, University of Bahrain, and University of Blida. His research focuses on urban and architectural conservation, Islamic architecture, urban regeneration, cultural identity, sustainable tourism, Human-Centered Robot Design and traditional architecture. Dr. Boussaa has received multiple academic and research awards, including the Dean’s Award for Excellence and several QNRF grants, and has significant consulting experience in architectural design and supervision.
